Need a hand with Soul Read?
Email toddsherrill@gmail.com and you will hear back from the developer, usually within two business days. Soul Read is built and supported by Motley Lab, a one-person studio, so you are writing to the person who made it.
For anything that looks like a bug, include your phone model, its OS version and what you were doing. Even better, send the built-in report: in the app open Settings, About, press and hold the version line, and share the diagnostics text that appears. It holds the app version, purchase state and the last few hundred log lines, and nothing personal.
Purchases, the free plan and settings
What is free, and what does the purchase unlock?
Free: the guided tutorial, seven Training hands, then one Training hand a day, and the NIT and TAG range quizzes. One purchase, Unlock Everything, is a single payment (no subscription): all seven opponent types, Cash Game and Tournament, unlimited hands, Build Your Table, multiway pots, Range After Fold, Player Profiling and the decision timer.
I bought it on a previous phone, or reinstalled. How do I get it back?
Open Settings and tap Restore Purchase (it is on the paywall too). You must be signed in to the same App Store or Google Play account you bought with. Nothing is charged twice.
How do refunds work?
Purchases are handled by Apple and Google, so refunds go through them: on iPhone, reportaproblem.apple.com; on Android, the order history in Google Play. We never see your card details.
How do I switch between English and Portuguese?
Settings, then Language. The whole app re-renders in the language you pick; the tutorial can be replayed in it from Home.
The daily reminder does not arrive, or arrives late.
Check that notifications are allowed for Soul Read in your phone's settings, and that a daily goal with a reminder time is set in the app. On Android 14 and newer, reminders can land up to an hour after the time you set; that is the system's battery policy, not a missed alarm.
A grade or an opponent's decision looks wrong.
Send the hand: a screenshot of the action strip at the top of the table and one of the grade screen, plus what you expected. Opponent behaviour is deterministic per player type, so a reported hand can be replayed and checked.
What data does Soul Read collect?
None. There is no account, no analytics and no tracking; everything is stored on your phone. The only network use is the App Store or Google Play purchase itself. The full privacy policy is linked below.
